Weekly Beef Export Sales 09/11 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 347,800 pieces for 2025 were down 8 percent
from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for China (280,200 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 20,500 pieces), Mexico (28,900 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 1,700 pieces), South Korea (13,400 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 3,800 pieces), Taiwan (12,200 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 1,100 pieces), and Thailand (5,500 whole cattle
hides), were offset by reductions for Italy (100 pieces). Total net sales
of 2,900 calf skins were for Italy. In addition, total net sales
reductions of 2,900 kip skins were for Italy. Exports of 294,300 whole
cattle hides were down 21 percent from the previous week and 14 percent
from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China
(200,900 pieces), South Korea (37,600 pieces), Mexico (30,300 pieces),
Brazil (9,900 pieces), and Thailand (6,700 pieces).
Net sales reductions of 14,900 wet blues for 2025 were down noticeably
from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases
reported for China (5,000 unsplit) and Thailand (300 unsplit), were more
than offset by reductions for Italy (10,700 unsplit), Brazil (8,000
unsplit), Vietnam (1,500 unsplit), and Hong Kong (100 unsplit). Net sales
of 25,000 wet blues for 2026 were reported for Vietnam (14,400 unsplit)
and Italy (10,600 unsplit). Exports of 127,400 wet blues were down 5
percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week
average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (33,300 unsplit),
Italy (32,300 unsplit), Thailand (31,000 unsplit), South Korea (10,500
grain splits), and Brazil (4,300 unsplit). Net sales of splits were
reported for the week. Exports of 46,500 splits were to China.
Beef: Net sales of 12,100 MT for 2025 were down 27 percent from the
previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
were primarily for Japan (3,400 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), South
Korea (2,400 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), Hong Kong (1,900 MT,
including decreases of 100 MT), Mexico (900 MT, including decreases of 100
MT), and Taiwan (900 MT, including decreases of 100 MT). Exports of 8,700
MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the
prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Japan (2,800 MT),
South Korea (2,500 MT), Taiwan (1,000 MT), Mexico (800 MT), and Hong Kong
(500 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 17,300 MT for 2025 were down 27 percent from the
previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for China (8,200 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Mexico
(4,700 MT, including decreases of 700 MT), Honduras (1,500 MT), Canada
(800 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), and Japan (300 MT, including
decreases of 4,600 MT). Exports of 23,400 MT were down 12 percent from the
previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to Mexico (11,100 MT), Japan (2,900 MT), China
(2,100 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), and Colombia (1,700 MT).
